I wonder if I shall regret my leniency, Klahanie. It has spread rather where other alstros. have given up the unequal struggle! I just hope this isn't the common one which I've read does spread like a weed..

I believe I do have the common one.(inherited) It completely overtook my iris garden and I cannot get rid of it. The hybrids might be better behaved. The flower itself is lovely no matter which colour and I got a nice bouquet on the table every year so not all is lost.

Lovely colour, Ange! Hot and zingy..I e fond memories of it from several years ago..a patient grew it and often gave me cuttings for a vase.
