Clematis 'I am Happy'

Is that your signature Clematis, Ang?It looks very pretty.

It is a favourite, Meadow. I have 3 variations of this type and they're all lovely (IMO). We were saying this morning that the large-flowered types are mostly a waste of space in our garden. It's too dry for most of them, sadly.

Not seen this variety before, it looks as if the flowers are quite large for a Viticella and nicely coloured.

I was thinking that today.....the tall Campanula has produced some beautiful blue flowers for the first time...it felt uplifting to see them.

I had a 'moment', too, last night, Meadow. A young hedgehog came out onto the garden path and started to investigate my foot! I had to move so as not to risk getting my toes nibbled.. A great reward for feeding them each evening. We have a tawny-coloured adult that is around most evenings. So we know we have at least 2 of them, which is lovely.

Of course they are probably missing the slugs and snails....how lovely to see it.
