I'm afraid I'm going to overrun myself with violets. I just can't throw away good plant And these aren't hard to start up. Good christmas gift! :-)

Well, you've done really well here, I can't seem to keep these, I have one on my kitchen windowsill, looks really healthy, but no flowers, we have gas fuel here and I've heard they don't like it.

Hmmm. Some gases do replicate hormones stopping blooming. I let it get a somewhat dryer spell about a month and they bloom after that every time.

Try watering with a bit of epsom salts dissolved in it - that is supposed to stimulate flowering.

What else?

This photo is of species Saintpaulia ionantha.

See who else has plants in genus Saintpaulia.

This photo is of "African violet 'Kiwiland Treasure'" in Greenthumb's garden
