I sowed seed of these, have mislaid the packet but would like more next year. Will they come true from seed? Does anyone know the variety please?

Join the club, Julia, as it wasn't until I saw a packet of seed (possibly free with a magazine?) that I learned they can be annual, biennial or perennial. So confusing . . . :o))

Now, they must make you smile when you pass them. Lovely!

I've just planted one believing it to be a perennial. Fingers crossed.

Anget, it's a well known fact to some GoY folk that I have a dislike of Orange flowers. Having said that, these are a gentler shade (who am I kidding?!) which I am beginning to like very much . . . :o)

Kate, I think it must be an age thing with me as I wouldn't have any shade of Orange for years!

I have always had annual rudbeckias and didn't know there were perennial ones!

Now that's strange, Rose, as I always thought they were perennials, having seeing swathes of them at Sussex Prairie Garden some years ago. You live and learn eh?

Well,Shirley ! Everything comes to those who wait,or so it's said ,so I'm guessing you are finally allowing shades of Orange in your garden ??? Welcome to the world of Orange lovers ,and I don't mean the Fruit ! I do love your choice,it's very 'zingy' lol xx

Sandra, I never thought the day would come when I actually like to see some Orange flowers in my garden! Tangerines, peachy shades, but not the real Orange hue. I really do like these . . . wonders never cease eh? :o)))

I tend to agree,Shirley,so I'm pleased you are now enjoying the various softer shades of Orange :o).I like them all ! Lol.x

Ha, ha Sandra! Yesterday I had to lean across these to deadhead some white Cosmos growing behind them - looked later to see bright orange pollen all over my black jeans. Hopefully I won't make that mistake again . . .
