growing in the pot on our deck for the first time and I hope to re-grow it next year. It is very elegant plant in my opinion and sending out one bud after another ....so far. Very fragrant too.

Yes, pot them ladies.....as they need lots of sun, the soil in the pot warms up better than in the flower bed (border). They took long time to come out and to flower.
Thank you for adding this photo to your favourites Sheila.
I am honoured.

Well, I’m enjoying yours Klahanie (and mine are in a pot, so it’s a shame they didn’t work). x

I think mine must have been kept from last year … were yours newly bought Klahanie?

Yes Sheila. I bought a bag of them early in the spring and they took a long time to come out. I wonder if they will bloom next year (I hope so). I really like them and I am thinking to buy more.

Klahanie, I am on 'catch-up' with GoY due to computer issues . . . I have a pot of these bulbs with foliage but no flowers. They are in a plastic pot which I sunk into a flower bed . . . is it worth keeping the bulbs to try again next year?

Glad to see you Shirley_tulip and happy that your computer issues are gone.
I do not have a great experience with these but I would try and keep the pot above ground that they have enough heat to get them going. They re small bulbs so I did not plant them too deep. They were sitting in full sun. I have to say that we had an extremely hot summer this year.
I am curious myself if they'll be the same next year. They are wonderful bulbs and still blooming, providing nectar for our hummingbirds and sending their perfume few feet around them.

Thanks K, I shall take the sunken pot out of the ground tomorrow and store the bulbs over Winter. They have a 50/50 chance of flowering next year.

I absolutely love these Klahanie … great photo of them too. Don’t know why mine haven’t flowered this year, so I’m adding yours to my favourites 🙂.
