I have that plant Stera, maybe not looking so glamorous as this. It has very interesting seed pods as well. I just moved it out of the rain and hope it will survive in the cold greenhouse.

Beautiful print. Hoping your ‘real’ one survives the greenhouse in winter, Klahanie.

Fingers crossed, Kate :-)

What are your winters like Klahanie?

Very wet Stera. Right now we have a "pineapple express" coming through. ( I think) Not too cold and pouring rain coming from SW Pacific.
Or how wiki describes it:
a meteorological phenomenon characterized by a strong and persistent large-scale flow of warm moist air, and the associated heavy precipitation both in the waters immediately northeast of the Hawaiian Islands and extending northeast to any location along the Pacific coast of North America. A Pineapple Express is an example of an ‘atmospheric river’, which is a more general term for such relatively narrow corridors of enhanced water vapor transport at mid-latitudes around the world.
Great for mushrooms picking :-)

You must be in the path of the tropical jetstream. We don't get pineapples, but we often get the "Alberta Clipper" which is a fast moving & violent winter storm from up north. It comes with icy arctic temperatures, gail force winds and lots of snow - good times.

Bathgate, same effect and I could not say which one is worse.
We will have to build a Noah's Ark soon. Funny part of all of this is that we do not get one single drop of rain during summer. I had no idea before we moved here. Live and learn.

Our summers tend to be dry and hot. We call them the 'dog days' of summer - July & August. If we get a lot of snow during the winter, our reservoirs won't dry up.

So lets hope that you have lots of snow during winter, Bathgate. Do you ski?

I remember having one of these, a white single flower though, gosh, what a scent in the evenings! Beautiful print..

I've been skiing a few times at Hunter Mountain and Mount Stowe Vermont. I'm no Bill Briggs, but we all have a good time. Vermont is really beautiful alpine country, great for horseback riding in summer as well. I prefer it over Florida.

Thank you for your notes Janey and Bathgate. I enjoyed reading them.
