These palms are planted around the Marilyn Monroe statue at the entrance of the Palm Springs Art Museum. Photo taken Nov. 4, 2021. It was 94 f (35c) degrees when we got there at 11:30 am.

Yes, I think the statue is there to stay. I know it’s controversial, but not sure the reason why. It’s a famous iconic scene from the movie: The Seven Year Itch.
The ratio of male to female date palms (Phoenix dactylifera) is one male to 40 females date trees. Lol! The males aren’t as important as the female-fruit producing trees.

Well, I have the same photo with me standing between here legs. That was few years back and I thought that she was moved somewhere else (Chicago?). Now she is back?
I have a good memories staying in Palm springs....learning all about the sex life of date palms.... LOL.
We have good friends living in Palm desert.
