Such intense colour...I may grow these in the pots next year as a change from tulips.

Gorgeous colour, and scent of course! (Ours have just gone over, but we did enjoy that scent … in pots on an outdoor table.)

Medowland, I got crazy with Hyacinths this year. I bought several packs last fall . I used to grow few in the ground but it seems that most disappeared over time. All the greenery around them is fall crocus (colchicums) so it needs to be "spiced up" for spring. I cannot grow tulips because of deer. Daffodils are OK and I have plenty of those.

Sheila, These hyacinths are just opening for me. I envy you your nice warm spring. We have it much cooler this year at this time. (mostly 2 deg over night and never over 10 during the day) I am glad that it is not freezing though. I do have few very new shoots of peonies and they do not like freeze. They would blackened and not bloom.

Yes, I like them very much...especially because I cannot grow tulips and these are a nice substitute. .
