I am pleased you all like it Cariad18, Kate and Sheila. It is getting fairly big tree and would probably benefit from a "haircut".

Really lovely blossom and the bees will definitely approve...
To stop our apples trees from growing too large we prune them in August, cutting just above a leaf joint leaving 3 or 4 leaves on the little growing shoots.

We have a nursery gentlemen to come and trim our orchard trees every February. This crab-apple is on the edge of wild area and left on its own.
