Baby mixed salad leaves.

Baby mixed salad leaves.

I cut some for salad lunch today ... so much better than from a supermarket bag!

I agree. I’ve got a lot of those seedlings, but I’ve left them all together in the tray. I’m hoping they will be ok grown like this.

Josie, they have shallow roots so I don't see why not ... :o)

So very true, plus the satisfaction of growing your own too!

Kate, that's so true! I gave our daughter the Pak Choi and Spinach plants that were in a large tray with the salad leaves.

Delicious! She’d have been very pleased!

She eats so much Spinach, should have muscles like Popeye!

Nothing like the taste of something you've grown yourself. Beats anything from a supermarket.

I agree ... as I eat a lot of salad I have been buying the supermarket bags of mixed leaf ... not as good as home grown though!

I've tried to grow a mixture of different 'leaves' the trouble is we haven't managed to eat them quickly enough, before they bolt. The exception has been 'Lambs Lettuce' as it grows slower, so we've managed to keep up with it. :-)

I'm pleased you found one that's a slow grower!
