Never having grown these before I saw them in a supermarket in Fenruary and thought I would give them a try. Starting them in a cold frame, I planted them out around May and they have just flowered. Not sure they will survive the winter here though, sadly.

Thanks, Klahanie. I do worry that it will not survive our wimter. We are also very wet and the soil is heavy. I may try to lift the bulbs and store them over winter, then replant them next year. Or place them in a cold frame.

Lifting the bulbs might be a good idea, I did not protect it in anyway. So lesson learned.

I grew this plant last year but it did not survived our wet winter. I had it on the pot and it looked beautiful.
I hope you will be able to keep it and it will re-bloom next year.
