Diervilla rivularis 'Honeybee'
one of the most bee friendly plants you’ll find. Actually that was why I bought it. It was smothered with bees. They love it. Flowers are tiny but rich in nectar.
Apparently drought tolerant and not fussy about the soil.
It is a dwarf bush.
Named after a French surgeon Dr. Marin Diereville, who introduced the plant to Europe around 1700. (Wikipedia)

Thank you Sheila.
The colour is cheerful but I know that lots of people do not like plants with this kind of green foliage. But it's good for a dull spot.

I was thinking about you and your hard soil Anget and hoped that you will see this.

There is also one callled "Kodiak Red" which I might look for. Apparently hummingbirds love these and deer do not. Perfect plant for us.
