Fuchsia 'Beacon' flowering on balcony 30th September 2022 002

That's a beauty!

I have quite a bit of fuchsias this year Balcony. Lovely plants. Although, I do not keep up with their names.

Ours in the garden beds have grown enormous this year! Now the rain has started they are quite a sight, full of flowers, Balc. You have a great selection. Do they overwinter outside?

'Beacon' has always lived outside year round, though this particular plant has indeed grown much better this year than in previous years, it's about 3 years old. It;s probably the oldest plant I have at present. The only protection it gets is being put underneath the round table in the most protected corner of the balcony. I also have other plants of this variety.

Most of the other Fuchsias get a little extra protection by being kept in the little plastic greenhouse which sits on top of the round table in the corner.

I am trying to root some cuttings to save in the kitchen over winter but not having much success! 😢 Years ago I could get Fuchsias to root with no trouble at all but I seem to have lost my "green Fingers" with them now.
