Acer shirasawanum 'Jordan' (Full Moon Maple)

Thank you for showing this Klahanie..if you remember I have a tiny 'Jordan' Acer and Janey too...Looking at the size of yours I will definitely be keeping it in a container. The Spring colour leaves are striking.

Julia. I do like it for the spring colour more than fall colour.
Ange has one as well (in container). It is definitely not a "dwarf" size in the ground.
"Jordan" grows much faster than Aureum Julia, That is one I think you said you have. Very similar otherwise.

Really lovely Klahanie. I also have a very small shirasawanum ‘Jordan’ … hope it will grow a bit more next year.

Me, too. They are obviously popular! Mine lost all its leaves ages ago! This is an attractive specimen.

I forgot that you have one as well Sheila (old age?). You must post it's picture in spring. I think yours is in a pot, is not it?

Klahanie, I agree that its colour is better in Spring, but, no, mine is one of the few in the ground.

Oh it's lovely Klahanie. Yes Julia and I have new ones this year. I hope they do as well as yours. I loved their leaf shape. Mine's potted too..
Oh and Sheila and Ange, haha be great to compare notes..:))

I’m not sure if I have ever taken a pic Klahanie … not really worth your time. It’s so small that OH calls it a “stick”!

It is interesting Sheila. I have to trim mine 2x a year. It shoots branches 3'feet long. Hopefully yours will settle in soon and will become a handsome tree. It really shines in spring . My only problem with mine is that the top part burns in hot sun.
