Tomorrow morning the Trachycarpus is being felled...it has become enormous so for safety sake its days will end.

I'm sure the neighbours will be pleased as their cars are parked just the other side of the hedge and in strong winds!!!??

That's sad. I felt the same way when we had our large birch taken down a few months ago.

Thank goodness we took the decision, the tree surgeon has found it is rotten at the top...he has to be extremely careful how far up he goes .
Birches are beautiful trees Ange...I can understand how you felt.
