Thank you Ange!!You read my mind...your Lady of Shallot looks wonderful...do you remember I visited DA garden last year and bought L of Shallot...you said it grew quite robustly and it has! I actually forgot its name and was just about to ask you to remind me and then you posted it!

Such a gorgeous Lady she is too. I loves the peach yellow tones. It's very like my Lady Hamilton which isn't quite out yet..

Very similar, Janey. This one has grown to large proportions this year, though, about 6 x 6ft.

Wow, I think the roses will be fabulous this year..

Your roses are beautiful Ange. With blackspot take off the leaves affected and spray. In the winter take away any debris on the soil under the bush and cover it with fresh compost.

Linda, I dump any roses with rampant blackspot, can't be bothered to nurture if they need pampering. I suppose I have a 'love-hate' relationship with roses. In my experience they all succumb to some degree and there's no such thing as a completely disease-free variety. I think we have discarded large numbers over the years. I never give up hope though!
