I agree with Sheila. The Deer looks so innocent, despite munching on some of your plants!

Shirley_tulip, They are trainable to be friendly and some people have them friendly with their own pets. I do not want to encourage them to come very close but not chasing them either (I used to). I do have couple of motion activated sprinkles to protect my main growing bed . They do not like that.
Recently, I only see this one around. When she is eating clover in the front lawn and I happen to walk out, she ignores me and keeps munching. I do tell her she is free to eat clover but not my phlox or roses :-).

Sorry for not replying sooner, the computer had 'Gremlins' but seems better today. How amazing that some become 'pets', I'm not sure that I agree with that really. I hope she takes your request on board and leaves the Phlox and the Roses ... :o)

Well, it's back but certainly not responding as well as it should be. I shall have to get some I.T. support, i.e. my daughter!

Lovely animal but, like you, I wouldn't like it eating my plants! 😆

They consume a lot, Balcony . They will eat everything ....even plants that are listed as deer resistant. Depends on what is available around. They are few plants poisonous to them which they will not eat but the very young ones will try anyways.
