Do these plants bloom were you live?

This Agave is extremely common here in San Diego. Usually, when you have one you have about a hundred little pups. They grow very large and then they bloom...the flower spike grows to 30+ feet tall then the plants dies. However, they have so many off-shoots you can never get rid of the plant. LOL.

Have you ever tried growing Agave attenuata? These plants are weeds here but they have very nice flower spikes though.

here they just about cling on to life in the winter with fingers crossed. mostly people over here take them into a greenhouse in the winter. i did see a photo of one in cornwall that flowered and it made it into their local paper... how different our climates are...lol
i haven't come across arrenuata...any pictures???

If you live in a city that is at a low elevation of California...this plant should be very common to you.
