This is a common plant...this plant was a volunteer plant. These plants pop-up all over my yard. I'm constantly pulling them out.

Volunteer plant ~
Is that a term more often used in the USA than in UK?
In Britain I think we would more likely say 'self-seeded' plant, but I'm not sure.
It could be that 'volunteer plant' is a candidate for Lori's blog on unusual gardening terms. Delonix1 ~ What do you think about this ?
Hywel ~ on internet it says that this plant is a like a weed.
Fruits and flowers are toxic to humans and animals. :o(

"Volunteer Plant" is a nicer way of saying "weedy" or "weed-plant" which is the same as "self-seeded".
