Yes it is a conifer . I am trying to think of something from Aus. or NZ that would be similar . Thanks , I do miss being there sometimes . It is a 60 acre farm which I was living for free adjacent to the actual owners . I had a nursery there and planted lots . Unfortunately since I left things have changed . That is Picea pungens 'Glauca Procumbens' or should I say was , someone neglected to water it during a drought period this summer .
