You seem to have a great pot plant garden with lots of plants useful for cooking and eating!

I think part of the reason why we plant these "cooking' plants is because my helper is from Indonesia. In her kampong (village in Indonesia) they have farm and they live off the farm, sell some in the market, exchange some with other villagers.

When something in the fridge is not fresh to eat, my helper dump it in the soil. Their culture. So it grows sometimes.

Sounds like a great idea and you would get a lot of lovely surprises in your garden!

Maybe the next time you clear out your fridge you can dump the yellow ginger, blue ginger, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrot tops, radish top etc etc in your backyard.

I noticed you know all the names of your plants. Impressive. You sure like plants a lot.

I do use ginger, sweet potatoes and radishes quite a bit, but never thought of trying to grow them - I have actually never had a vegie garden! Maybe it's time to do it. As for knowing the names of my garden plants Autumn - I have been learning a lot since joining this website and have enjoyed doing quite a bit of research to find out about the things that grow in my garden.
