I attached a circular plant support to a cane then hung these seed balls on. I then attached the cane to the whirligig washing line, high up so that our cats can't reach the birds. No birdie visitors yet, but I'm hopeful.

Hope you remember to take them down if you put any washing out GF.Could get quite messy lol ! Great idea tho :)
