Camellia japonica 'Adolphe Audusson'

By Andrewr

Camellia japonica 'Adolphe Audusson' (Camellia japonica 'Adolphe Audusson')

Is anyone else growing this variety? I'd like to confirm I've really got Adolphe as the flowers are described as semi-double which is not how I would describe this. It's also making a leggy shrub; Adolphe is supposed to be compact

It doesn't look like mine, Andrew. I posted a photo of its first flower a while back. Check it out. Yours is much more double-ish if you see what I mean! What bad English... sorry. Mine is compact but lives in a large pot. I'll take its photo tomorrow.
