Aquilegia 'Elegance'???

Aquilegia 'Elegance'??? (Aquilegia 'Elegance')

Well, the flowers are supposed to be dark purple, but Aquilegias don't come very true from seed. I quite like this flower though - very pale blue - looks quite ghostly!

Yes, lucky you, I hope that you did get some of the nearly black flowered ones as well from your packet of seeds? But what you have here (if it too has golden leaves) is another of the Elegant Family, its 'Elegant Moonstone' with what I call marbled blue flowers. If fact this cultivar can have slightly differing shades of blueness in the marbling ...have you sown seeds from it? There are others in the range, 2 more at the moment, 'Elegant Ruby' and 'Elegant Opal' (white). Hope you enjoy them all! best wishes, Carrie Thomas of Touchwood, breeder of 'Elegance' et al!
