Attaching The Cremaster

By Diohio

Attaching The Cremaster (Asclepias syriaca Common Milkweed)

Once the skin is all the way to the top, he then must perform some amazinig acrobatics. He must release his prolegs from the silk button, drop the skin, and attach his cremaster back into the silk button, all in a fraction of a second, and without falling. The pic shows a different pupa with the cremaster attached firmly into the button.
