Garden visitor - Agile Wallaby (Macropus agilis) and joey

Ouch! That looks uncomfortable! The joey's trying to get himself comfy in the pouch.

Pansypotter - I rather like the look on mum's face. She doesn't look all that pleased!

Thanks Junglejen - all mums can relate to that look. This one looks like she's just had enough.

I hope that they just have one joey at a time...wouldn't fancy twins in there!

Junglejen - occasionally twins have been recorded but, in general, the mothers have one joey at a time.

Actually this particular lady I'm not pleased with at all. After several other wallabies feasted on all my beautiful portulacas in the downstairs garden bed, I had one left in a pot up in my courtyard. Guess who came sneaking into the courtyard yesterday morning and was caught in the act of munching on the last bit of the last portulaca!!

Having read your answer to my question on your woodland photo - I think you can lay claim to some fantastic wildlife too.
