Another gorgeous shrub/tree for winter flowering. It also bears its red 'bauble-like' fruits over the winter giving it the common name 'Strawberry Tree'. Evergreen. Can eventually grow in to quite a big tree. They have a big one at Crathes Castle. The bark of the mature tree is also beautiful...a bit like cinnamon bark to my eye.

I love it Pamela. I have another one at the back of the house, in the ground. Its now about 5'6 tall. This one is only about 2'. I have it in a pot at the front door. I hope to keep it in a pot for as long as possible. I think...hope..they are both the compact form.

As you know we have a large one in our garden, the canopy has been lifted, and it gets pruned most years.....the bark is most attractive......we lost our Rubra, moved it at the wrong time! such a gorgeous tree!
