Reddening strawberry.

By Raquel

Reddening strawberry. (Fragaria vesca (Alpine Strawberry))

The strawberry continues to ripen. Apparently the cold temps were very good for the plants as that when their buds form. However, they will not fruit above 70 F so I guess either they give fruit now or they won't, as it gets above 70 F pretty fast in Houston!

Thanks Irish. These might be the only ones I get! I'm enjoying them. Soon it will be too hot an dhumid for them to give fruit.

What else?

See who else is growing Fragaria vesca (Alpine Strawberry).

See who else has plants in genus Fragaria.

This photo is of "alpine strawberries (RIP)" in Raquel's garden
