Tulipa kaufmanniana - 2012

By Andrewr

Tulipa kaufmanniana - 2012 (Tulipa kaufmanniana)

This specie tulip is very variable in the wild and there are many named varieties in commerce. But this is the bog standard wild form. The flowers start in this goblet shape but later open wide. Reaches 4 to 8 inches, grow in an open, sunny position

Probably but it is one of the earliest specie tulips to flower, so the warm weather will have persuaded it that spring has arrived
