can anyone help me please, i tried to do the early cuttings a couple of months ago and failed miserably, it seems i just cant do cuttings but i am going to try again as i have about 15 fuschia plants and would like to see if i can get them to "have babies" so any advice would be most grateful, if you can do as "an idiots guide to taking fuschia cuttings" i just may get somewhere thanks
can i just add i have an unheated greenhouse.

Have you seen Crazydi's blog about taking cuttings? It's great, very simple to follow, with photos. It's inspired me to do cuttings for the very first time. I think she mentions fuschias, from memory, but check it out anyway.

now is a good time to take fuchsia cuttings, either stick them in a pot and cover with clear plastic or put them in a bottle of rainwater (see my pics) or terratoonies blog on rainwater cuttings.

Also try typing 'fuschia cuttings' into the search box in the green bar at top of page, there are other members with ideas too.

They are so easy just snip the tip off a healthy stem one that has about 4 leaves, then push them gently into the compost that has perlite added to it.The leaves should rest on the surface.water in and keep cool.I put about 4 in a small plant pot.I hope this is of some help.

Well, I take cuttings from when the plants are in full leaf, 'bout May onwards here, even took some last week, from huge plant with masses of flowers, on non-flowering stem, I just poke in a pot of compost, they almost always grow :) good luck.
