do you grow bulbs with the hairs at the bottom where it comes to a point

United Kingdom Gb

Im planting bulbs for the first time (naturalising)

On plant Crocus

No, If you look closely at most crocus corms they have a net like tunic, where that comes to a point is the top of the corm. However, if you are still confused, plant the corms on their sides, they will not care. Even if you plant them upside down, they will grow and since the corm you plant dies off and is replaced by another, next time they will be the correct way up!

Pointy bit to the top, flatter bit to the bottom... though as Owdboggy says whichever way you plant them they wil still grow!
