What is the deep purple lily type flower brides often use in their bouquets?

could be platycodon if they are quite large flowers or freesias if more delicate ones

I've been racking my brains over this - and I think it might be Lisianthus. Type it into the 'search' box top right, and click on the first entry. That should tell you if I'm right.

I think you are right Spritz. They have been developed extensively in Japan and are now one of the worlds top cut flowers. They last so well in water, at least a month if not longer.

I tried to grow some last year - not very satisfactorily, sadly. Probably due the very wet summer, I think.
