What is it please? I cant find the label for this. I bought it at a plant stall at a local summer fete. I think it might be plectranths ? but doesnt feel right.

I'm not sure what it is - are the leaves grey or is that mildew on them? It looks like a Salvia of some kind to me.

They are grey and felty. the flower is similar to a small lamium.

Plectranthus Silver Shield, not hardy as mostly a summer bedding plants, but may survive if placed somewhere frost free and kept on dry side. We grow loads at nursery every year to sell. they grow huge if kept frost free. Lovely big soft furry leaves. The fine hairs gives them a really fine texture, and when it gets wet, they look green, but soon dry out to be furry again.

thanks Nicky, thats the name i was groping for. Hopefully it will have enough shelter from the various other things it has mingled with.

Don't know how successful cuttings would be. Imagine that unless they have warmth, they will just sit cold in winter and probably rot. The plugs we get in are fairly young thin shoots which looking at more older established ones and your picture, aren't produced very abundantly. Perhaps if it survives sping and you can cut it back, it may throw up a load more softer younger stems to propaget from...

I might just take a couple and see what happens. I have a greenhouse and some propagators that can provide the warmth.
