My cordylines are getting too big for their pots.Can I reduce them? Garden too small to plant in the ground.



I don't know what happens if you chop the tops off, but I suspect the mainstem will branch and you'll have 2 or 3 heads of leaves instead of just one. If left in the ground, they will get to be tall "palm" trees, so you've got two choices, either bigger pots, or take a risk and chop them back - but not now, do it in the Spring.
