Are wild strawberries considered weeds? I have found some growing under a shrub. Thank you

a weed is only a plant growing where you don't want it to, so if you like your wild strawberries I'd keep them. Lots of people deliberately grow wildflowers that some others might consider weeds!

I have wild strawberries all over my garden...I leave them where they are and eat them when they are ripe.

They could be considered weeds if you go for the immaculate type garden. They put out runners, just like cultivated strawberries, and can spread rapidly. We have them in our garden and I just pull out the excess if I feel like it.

If they are a weed, they must be the best flavoured weed! They have a beautiful flavour, but my keen OH managed to pull them out the next year, shame really.

Not weeds in my book - anything that produces that such a burst of flavour is more than welcome to colonise the garden - and, as Bulba has said, they do :-)

The top chefs pay a fortune for wild strawberries. I just eat them and pull them out when they start taking over.

I have loads, mainly self-propagated. If I went round pulling them up my Australian horticulturalist friend would put poison in my tea. She does all my heavy work these days and goes round snacking on them whilst working all summer. I have to sneak out before she starts if we want any. Lovely.

Likewise, I leave mine as they are tasty and the blackbirds are very partial to them too if you want to encourage wildlife, oh, yes and the woodmice.

How do I say thanks?
