Sorry, should have explained - where several stems join together and you end up with one, rather strange, bloom! Difficult to say as we can only see the flower - is the stem thicker than usual?

It may also just be a mistake that the plant made when the flower was forming--it does look a little symmetrical for fasciation. I have often seen Lilies with 8 tepals, instead of 6.

its not fasciation, its just that this flower usually is in '3s' and this one is 4. I'll curious to see if the other flowers will open the same. first year its done it. had it 20 yrs.
