Fantastic. I was really admiring the first one and wondering what it was - didn't recognise it in closeup. I bought it a few weeks ago - hurray!

The thalictrums are surprisingly tough, and suddenly very tall when you've not looked at 'em for a day or two. I've got T. rochebrunianum, T. 'Anne', and T. 'Black Stockings' in stock at the moment. I love 'em.

Wow thankyou, the thalictrum (lilac one) is quite big, but in amongst trees and bushes so cant see just how big it is... I;m going to have to find it or figure out how to take a cutting for my garden!

They will reach 3' to 4', i have them in the back of my borders.
I also have an alpine version that is 4"

In spring, as growth starts, lift the plant and divide up the rhizome/tuber (I'm never sure which T. aquilegifolium is). You've got good lumps of plant to start with then.

How do I say thanks?
