Anyone from Lytham St Annes? Just had an overnight stay there, happy memories from my childhood holidays. Lovely perfume from a flowering hedge along the promenade near the pier. The hedge looed like privet, apologies the picture is very poor,I had to pick a sample and photo it when I got home, so it had dried out. Anyone any idea what it could be?

Could it be elkeagnus ebbingii? smells like carnations? Just discovered the flowers in our garden last week thanks to a suggestion on here!
