Woah. Do we mean Jasminum officinale or jasminum nudiflorum (winter flowering jasmine). I had this one last week. Some people, like the other 2 answers (and me) think the common jasmine is the J. officinale, which as Bamboo says is deciduous in the UK, and some people think that common jasmine is winter flowering jasmine which is evergreen. There are of course loads of jasmine varieties and a similar question was discussed on question 17865. I understand it sometimes stays green over winter but you are lucky Marguerite. Mine is dead after the lovely winter.

It's Jasmine officinale - its mentioned underneath the question on the left hand side. Not to mention that the winter flowering jasmine with yellow flowers is, in fact, commonly known, in most parts of UK (though not all) as winter jasmine rather than common jasmine, Sarraceniac.

Yes Bamboo. I must take more water with it.

I think if you'd have looked at question 17865 you would see we have had that discussion.
