This is another plant I sent of for Mirabilis Japala. Again I don't know what to do with them. This is how they came to me. Do I soak them first? Am I right in thinking that the long skinny bit is the root?, So I plant them with the wide piece faceing upwards. How deep do I plant them please?

On plant Mirabilis jalapa mixed

Great this one isn't frost hardly so would be better planted in a container and kept in a cool greenhouse covered up overwinter. Again will grow to around a foot in height and needs full sun to do well in the UK. I would plant the tubers the way you suggest and try to collect seed and sow on each year.
