This is a rose that I'm going to replace because 50% of it has died, can anyone tell me why this should be and can you suggest a nice red floribunda that is disease resistant that I can replace it with, thank-you Roy.

Why not prune out the dead wood and let the new healthy growth take over. All is not lost. I don't know of a replacement rose though.

Hi, this can happen for no apparent cause, and unless you find out the cause, and if possible remedy it, I would not recommend just replacing it, as you're likely to have the same thing happen to the replacement, it isn't normally recommended that you grow roses in the same soil that you have previously grown them in, without a complete change of soil.
As for any replacement, there are hundreds to choose from, just google red, disease resistant, floribunda roses, Derek.
