Hello. Can anybody tell me the best thing to do with this old overgrown forsythia please? I'm expecting the best advice be to chop it down but thought I'd just try anyway. Many thanks

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on F. There you will find loads of info on Forsythia and how to prune it.

Tadpole all your photos are appearing upside down which, unless you have a laptop, makes it rather hard to look at them properly… are you sending from an iPad by any chance?

Hi, wait until the flowers have finished, then cut everything down to the height you want, then remove completely any dead, diseased or crossing branches, give it a feed of growmore, sit back and wait for the flowers next year, Derek.

Turn the laptop the other way up when you take photos???
Forsythias flower on last years new wood so cutting it back after flowering and possibly giving it a mulch and a good feed to produce lots of new growth and you should be in business. Sorry Derek, just realised you said all that.
