i have put to much horse manure on my veg plot can you help thanks



Fresh or well rotted? It does make a difference

I too have done the same this year with well rotted cow poo.

However, there are many crops that love the manure and will thrive in it so it might be worth tailoring your crops to suit the conditions.

Of course, this means well rotted (at least 2 years old) manure.

It might be worth scraping some off unless you've dug it in but i'll be growing courgettes and squashes, leeks, peas, runner beans, french beans,spuds, sprouts, sweetcorn and onions in recently manured ground.

The only real plants which don't like manure are carrots and parsnips.
