Can anyone ID this tree? It is a many-branched tree about 25-30ft tall, spreading branches, light airy foliage effect. Note the little 'fruits' developing in the leaf axils. These have 3 stigma branches and are these size of one of those silver balls that you sometimes get on cakes! The bark has prominent horizontal lenticels.

If I knew then I would not be asking! The bark is not like the one I described which has prominent horizontal lenticels similar to cherry. It's in an arboretum so is probably something special!

if its in an arboretum, there should be a planting list. The staff there should be able tell you.
hopefully you will find out. I'm curious to know what it is. :o)
