Can anyone tell me what is causing this damage on quite a lot of my friend's tomatoes.
He is watering them everying evening and feeding once a week.
He has plants in the greenhouse and outside and it is happening to both.
Sorry he does not know the variety.
Hope someone can help - thank you.

It looks like Anthracnose, which is caused by a fungus called Colletotrichum coccoides (Google images for Colletotrichum coccoides). It's spread by warm, moist or humid weather.

Avoid splashing water on the fruits, as this will spread the fungal spores and keep them in a sunny position.

I'm not sure but it may be slugs, I notice they have been having a go at mine, I saw their trails on the greenhouse floor & on the leaves I have put slug & snail pellets round mine now, it's the one that isn't harmful to pets & wild life, its grey in colour. :o))
But it's most probley what Myron said LOL :o))

I also first thought that it could be slugs. But the holes seemed to be be too rounded for something nibbling on them. Also, the first photo seemed to show brown spots which could be an indication of the new spores spreading.

It could be caterpillars. Is there any leaf damage or is it just the fruit?

Myron. I think what you said may be right, when the hole appears the snails go in for the kill LOL
