Thinking of creating pockets of colour in my garden over the winter where annuals have died and perennials have died back. Could anyone suggest any plants I could plant between my perennials in my borders? Would wall flowers work? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pansies, violas, primroses as well as wallflowers and don't forget its the ideal time to plant bulbs first then the plants on top

( wallflowers in my childhood were called Gillivers......)
