Hello everyone could someone tell me the actual names of these plants please :) think they are tagetes are they? If so would like to know their names please ..

Hi, yes they're Tagetes, going off their height, I would say African group, African marigold, the African ones are usually taller than the French, or Afro-French, or Signet marigolds, they could be from mixed seed, or could be 2 different species, the more orange 1 could be Jubilee series, and themore yellow1 could be Gold coin series , both are African marigolds, botanical name Tagetes, Derek.

I would agree with Derek that they are African Marigolds (Tagetes erecta), the clue is in the name. French marigolds Tagetes petula) are usually grown in borders or small pots because they are lower growers.

The give away is that they're growing in front of Cineraria maritima (The silver plant)....which gets to 15" high. The marigolds are half that size.
