Daughter in the USA has just found this in her garden and wants to know what it is. I'd love to be the first to tell her.




Could be the Comma butterfly's larva, but not entirely sure.

Caterpillars are larvae, so they can have legs.

It's a Black swallowtailed butterfly (Papilio polyxenes).
