Two Ribes questions,

Most of my clients have Ribes sanguinium in their gardens and I would say that nearly all are still holding on to their leaves which are still green, have any of you noticed the same?

My second question is many years back I took a few
Cuttings of a unusual Ribes, carn,t think where I got them from but in the spring the flowers are white slightly blushed and look fantastic, could someone possibly identify this type of Ribes for me, thanks Julien

That's amazing in Derbyshire, mine's quite bare.
But my pelargonims are still flowering.

I tried to kill a pink Ribes sanguineum in the spring, by cutting it right back and painting the cut stems with stump killer. It grew back quite happily and still has green leaves.
My white one, Ribes sanguineum 'White Icicle', has flowers and new leaf buds on it already. There are a few white cultivars.

Hi Julien, R sanguineum 'Tydemans White' has pure white flowers, but I haven't grown Ribes for years, so can't comment on the leaf retention, Derek.
