hi i have a rufa bamboo in a pot, will it be ok to water it now in cambridgeshire uk. kind regards

Hi, Fargesia dracocephala, common name rufa bamboo, is hardy anywhere in the uk, and is a none invasive species, so is quite safe to plant straight into the ground, so if you have it in a pot, it is safe to water it now, if you have kept it in a heated, or even frost free greenhouse, I would harden it off before planting outside in spring, Derek.

If it is dry then I would certainly water Bamboo.

I like to put a good handful of chicken pellets to feed bamboo each year. I suggest trying the same and feeding and watering in summer.
